My work Spring 1~4 was featured at the Fine Art of Fiber 2022 exhibition, held at the Chicago Botanic Garden. It was a long, cold winter. COVID-19 stopped everything, and many lives were lost. People became wary of each other, and it felt impossible to meet with loved ones. Yet we endured with hope, waiting for spring. Fragments of Memory     기억의 조각들        detailed              Fragments of Memory 기억의 조각들 Medium: Used denim jeans size: 36 X 48 2019, 작품 **「Fragments of Memories」**는 오래 입었던 청바지를 재활용하여 제작한 섬유 작업입니다. 버려진 옷은 단순한 소재가 아니라, 이전 사용자의 흔적과 기억의 일부를 담고 있어 쉽게 버릴 수 없는 존재였습니다. 이 시리즈는 그런 조각들을 모아 새로운 형태로 재구성함으로써, 잊혀져 가는 기억과 시간의 흐름을 시각화하고자 했습니다. 섬유의 질감과 형태를 통해 기억의 단편이 새로운 이야기로 이어지는 순간을 표현합니다. The work “Fragments of Memories” is a fiber art piece created by repurposing old denim jeans that I once wore or that were no longer wanted by others. The discarded fabrics carry traces of their previous lives and seem to hold fragments of memories that drift away. By collecting and reassembling these fragments into new forms, this series visualizes the flow of time and the persistence of memory.
