Fragments of Memories | Fiber Art Series

Fragments of Memories is created from repurposed denim — materials worn, weathered, and shaped by everyday life. Each piece of fabric once carried the warmth, movement, and stories of the person who wore it. By cutting, painting, and reconstructing these discarded jeans, the work transforms forgotten materials into a new visual language of remembrance.

The layered textures suggest the accumulation of time, while the subtle color shifts reveal traces of use, touch, and history. Standing before the work feels like encountering a landscape of lived moments — scattered, faded, and yet undeniably present. Through reconstruction, the piece reflects how memories behave: breaking apart, resurfacing unexpectedly, and recombining into something renewed.

Ultimately, Fragments of Memories invites viewers to consider what remains after time has passed, and how remnants of the past can still shape who we become.
