Morning Wave

Morning Wave is created from deconstructed denim jeans—faded, stitched, and layered to resemble the rhythm of the sea. Each strip carries traces of time: worn edges, creases, and stories once lived in the fabric.

Denim, deeply rooted in everyday life, becomes a metaphor for resilience and transformation. By washing, unraveling, and reconstructing these pieces, I reflect on how our experiences shape us—like waves carving the shore over time.

“Morning” suggests renewal: the moment when light returns and memories soften. This piece invites viewers to pause, breathe, and feel the gentle movement between past and present— a quiet wave of life rising again with hope.

Morning Wave는 오래된 청바지를 해체하고 탈색한 뒤, 파도의 흐름처럼 재조합해 만든 작품입니다. 천의 구김과 마모된 자국에는 삶의 시간과 기억이 스며 있습니다.

일상의 소재인 데님을 변형시키는 과정은 경험이 우리를 깎고 다듬는 삶의 여정과 닮아 있습니다. 파도가 해안을 오랜 시간에 걸쳐 형성하듯, 우리의 삶도 겹겹의 흔적으로 쌓여갑니다.

‘Morning’은 새로움을 상징합니다. 빛이 스며들고 기억이 부드러워지는 순간, 다시 시작할 수 있는 희망의 시간입니다. 이 작품은 관람객이 과거와 현재 사이에서 잔잔하게 일렁이는 파도를 느끼길 바라는 마음으로 제작되었습니다.

  Window Series Through the medium of windows, this series explores the landscapes of the mind and the inner light. A window is not only a frame that looks outward, but also a mirror that reflects the self. By combining materials such as transparent silk, denim, handmade paper, and real branches, these works express stories of memory, growth, and connection. Hidden emotions and emerging hope overlap like light and shadow, weaving together the layers of life. A window defines the boundary between the inside and the outside, and on this threshold, each piece becomes a scene that constantly changes with light and time.
