Though the form begins with play, the act of folding, layering, and repeating transforms the paper into a meditation on life’s structures and relationships. Each folded piece may appear simple on its own. Yet when assembled together, the components create a new order — a visual expression of harmony, unity, and the quiet balance found in life’s interconnected layers. Through Harmony VI , Jaclyn Bae reflects on how even the smallest gestures of daily life may carry depth and meaning. By transforming paper through color, structure, and repetition, the work invites viewers to consider how ordinary experiences can unfold into beauty, hope, and quiet faith. As the colors blend and expand, they mimic the way grace enters our lives — softly, unexpectedly, and with warmth that gathers over time.
