Harmony VI

Image
This work was created by hand-dyeing paper and folding it in the style of  ddakji , a traditional Korean game. Although it begins with a simple form of play, the process of folding and layering becomes a metaphor for the layers and connections of life. Each folded piece may seem small and insignificant on its own, yet when arranged together in harmony, it creates a new sense of order and beauty. Through this work, I seek to convey that even the simplest experiences of daily life can be transformed into art, offering both hope and meaning along the way.  https://fineartoffiber.org/exhibition_year/2017/ https://fineartoffiber.org/exhibit-piece/harmony-vi/

Blessing

Blessing Blessing is an installation made from hand-dyed coffee filter paper, folded piece by piece to evoke a sense of divine light descending from above. Each fold became a quiet meditation — a gesture of faith and gratitude translated into form. The paper, fragile yet luminous, embodies grace and renewal. As the colors blend and unfold, they mirror the gentle descent of blessings that fill our lives in unexpected ways. Through Blessing , I hope viewers pause to sense that even the simplest materials can hold profound beauty — just as everyday moments can become vessels of light. Artist Reflection Everyone has a different meaning of the word “blessing.” Some people think a blessing is an abundance of materials, health, happiness, or love. Others think of it as a matter of spiritual condition. However, the commonality is that we all desire blessings. ...
