Harmony VI
© Jaclyn Bae 2025 Harmony VI | Folded Paper Installation Harmony VI is created from hand-dyed paper folded in the tradition of ddakji , a classic Korean paper-folding game. Though the form begins with play, the act of folding, layering, and repeating transforms the paper into a meditation on life’s structures and relationships. Each folded piece may appear simple on its own. Yet when assembled together, the components create a new order — a visual expression of harmony, unity, and the quiet balance found in life’s interconnected layers. Through Harmony VI , Jaclyn Bae reflects on how even the smallest gestures of daily life may carry depth and meaning. By transforming paper through color, structure, and repetition, the work invites viewers to consider how ordinary experiences can unfold into beauty, hope, and quiet faith.
