During a visit to my home country, I observed the southern shorelines where the sea’s color constantly changed — as if the waves were endlessly dancing. This piece captures the vitality, fluidity, and continuous rhythm of the ocean, using the texture and folds of paper to express the movement and pulse of nature. 작품 「파도 / Wave」 는 손으로 염색한 한지를 전통 한국 종이접기 기법으로 접어 만든 섬유 종이 작품입니다. 고국의 남쪽 해안을 방문했을 때, 바다의 색이 끊임없이 변하며 마치 지치지 않고 춤추는 듯한 파도를 보았습니다. 이 작품은 그 바다의 생명력과 유연함, 그리고 끊임없이 흐르는 리듬을 시각적으로 담아내며, 종이의 질감과 형태를 통해 자연의 움직임을 표현했습니다. Climbing a windy hill, only to look down and see everything swept away by the wind, evokes a sense of emptiness. This series visually explores the journey of life, human effort, and the void we often encounter at its culmination. Blessing II At  Prairie Center  gallery,  2018 Blessing II – Fragments of Grace Everyone has their own definition of what a blessing means. For some, it is abundance — of love, health, or fortune. For others, it is peace within the soul. In my first work, Blessing I , blessings descended from above like a divine gift — light pouring gently into the world. But in this second piece, Blessing II , I imagined blessings not as a single flow, but as countless fragments scattered across humanity. Each folded piece represents a portion of grace, a reminder that every person receives their own measure of blessing — different in form, yet equal in meaning.
